Usability Expert

The Job

The growing User Experience (UX) team at w.illi.am/ is seeking a devoted, dynamic usability expert to work on a variety of mandates and help develop the UX practice within the company and among its customers in different industries.

Your role will be to apply user-centred design methodologies and techniques touching on research, analysis, design and evaluation of interfaces (web, application, mobile, software, tactile, etc.).

 

Responsibilities

Research and analysis

• Study of personas, mental models and benchmarks
• Contextual analysis
• Task and process analysis

Design

• Information architecture
• Design of wireframes
• Drafting functional/HCI specifications

Skills

Requirements

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in cognitive and software ergonomics, cognitive psychology or human-computer interaction.  Relevant qualifications in a related field may be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field in the analysis, design and evaluation of interfaces (web, mobile, software, etc.).
• Operational knowledge of interface usability methods, techniques and tools.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French (English as a first language an asset).
• Self-sufficiency for carrying out mandates at the customer’s place of business.
• Complete command of prototyping software Axure a definite asset.

Web Project Manager

The Job

The Senior Project Manager coordinates the production work of his or her team.

 

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing and coordinating activities for projects.
• Controlling the progress, costs and quality of mandates.
• Ensuring that production activities run smoothly.
• Performing preliminary project evaluations and analyses.
• Defining the mandate, including requirements, responsibilities, deliverables, measurement indicators and project limits.
• Developing project management frameworks, processes and tools.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or the equivalent .
• Two to five years of related experience in a web environment.
• The ability to analyze and interpret information to solve problems and make recommendations.
• The ability to innovate and be creative on projects.
• Self-reliance and the ability to determine which tasks to perform.
• The ability to set, manage and respect schedules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software in a Windows environment and project management software.

Web Artistic Director

The Job

w.illi.am/ is seeking both junior and senior web artistic directors to join its team. The successful candidates will be in charge of creative and visual development for the digital projects assigned to them.

• Provide artistic direction and develop graphical concepts for web projects

Senior front-end developer

The Job

w.illi.am/ is seeking a senior front end developer who is passionate, dynamic and up to date with the latest technologies for one of his important clients. The applicant will be called to work closely with the marketing, IT and business teams to implement user interfaces while integrating a diverse set of API’s (facebook, twitter, Google maps, Google analytics, etc…).

 

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize the front end code (HTML, CSS, JS)
• Assure quality of code on various platforms
• Integrate the user interface with back-end code
• Build and integrate mailing campaigns
• Build and maintain integrations with various APIs (Facebook FBML and webservices, Google maps and analytics, ...).

 

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of JS / JQuery
• Strong knowledge of CSS
• Knowledge of HTML5
• Basic knowledge of  Flash
• Experience with JSON/XML
